How often should you get your transmission fluid changed? The transmission industry's standard is 25,000 to 30,000 miles or every two years. If you tow a trailer, 15,000 to 20,000 miles is recommended depending on the amount of towing. Motorhomes can vary with the amount that they are driven. The best thing that you can do is check the fluid regularly; notice the color, odor and level of the fluid. If you notice a change in the color, odor or level, have it checked by one of our trained technicians.
What type of fluid should you use? The suggested fluids differ from one manufacturer to another and you can check the owner's manual to ensure the correct transmission fluid is utilized per your specific auto or truck make and model. However, here our technicians have a computer program that will insure the right fluid goes into your transmission. We offer a full line of transmission fluids to cover all the various demands of any car or truck.
This is a home grown business who's success is because they do an excellent job for a fair price and they guarantee their work. I have used them for years and trust Richard and his employees to be honest with me about what's wrong with my vehicle and how much it'll cost to fix it. My old Diesel truck is still Running great thanks to Archer Auto! I highly recommend them! -Maximus Horsebytes
I've been a regular customer for over 10 years. My cars, my kids cars...they take care of them all. Honest, reasonable and just very nice guys to deal with. Not pushy or trying to up-sell. When they make a recommendation you know it is what your car really needs. I drive well-maintained vehicles and never worry if a repair is needed. I live in Archer, FL but I have friends in Gainesville who will only let the guys at Archer Automotive fix their vehicles. -Angie Hyre Tipton
These guys are great!! When my work diesel broke down they had me back up and running in just one morning! We also take all of our personal vehicles here and have always had good experiences. Google Review 5 Stars
Archer Automotive & Tire ALWAYS do good work at a fair price. They have worked with me on options to lower repair cost when possible. I feel completely comfortable having my wife take our car in for repairs. When they made a mistake on a vehicle, they owned up to the mistake and even worked after hours to fixed it properly and have it complete the same day free of charge. I can't say enough good things about Archer Automotive & Tire. I don't do anywhere else for my automotive needs. 5 Stars from Reviewer #91943 - Car Talk review
Archer Automotive & Tire is an honest, community business with straightforward services. I have always found them to do their best to be fair and open about needed repairs. If they can't fix your vehicle right, they won't do it. I have learned to trust Archer Automotive & Tire explicitly over the years. I give them 5 Stars. Dr. Denny - Car Talk review
Archer Automotive & Tire is a small family business run by a man named Richard who is assisted by various young mechanics, including his son. I have found them to always be friendly and do good work for a lower price than their competitors. They saved me $400 by not doing an unnecessary repair that the dealership said I needed. Archer Automotive & Tire is local and trustworthy and I always take my car there. 5 Stars to this shop. Thurgood S. -Yelp Review
Many businesses trust their fleet maintenance to Archer Automotive & Tire. Richard and his team of technicians take care of my two vehicles and a large number of my friends also trust their vehicles to Archer Automotive & Tire. Locally owned and operated by Richard Feagles, this shop is the real deal. They do the work necessary and counsel customers on the items that are not. The staff has knowledge and experience on cars/trucks/domestic and imports. I have found the prices to be reasonable and with work is always preformed in the time frame promised.
